In a world full of “Experts” and “Change agents” we feel the power of listening can be lost. We are not here to impose, we are here to collaborate, to work with you.

At Matka we believe in the power of community and connection in order to do our best work. Whether its with our peers who we affiliate and work with or our clients, who employ us to help them personally or strategically, we focus on collaborative and all inclusive work rather than a top down approach.

You are the experts in your own life or your own field of work. We do not tell you what to do. For change to fully happen you must maintain ownership of that change and it is yours and yours alone to make. Our role is to shine a light on areas that may have been in the dark, unseen and hidden, then help you make sense of how this new perspective can help moving forward.

There is much to be learned in the “process”. In a world of “Goal - Result” we can often bypass the gold that is unearthed in the process in between. It sometimes benefits us to keep checking in and taking inventory along the way. Every success achieved whilst working towards the end goal must be acknowledged, celebrated and learned from. The journey is just as important as the destination.

Andy Hutton has been working in the coaching space for over a decade. Initially beginning in the education sector he has since developed a wide portfolio of clients from individual coaching clients to leadership teams of organisations. He is a huge advocate of self awareness and loves nothing more than to help all those he works with both wrestle with and become comfortable with who they truly are so they can live and work authentically.

Individual Coaching

We Coach, so of course we are advocates of this to the core!! We feel all people would benefit from coaching and this isn’t exclusive to some rather than others. All are welcome who want to engage further with their own lives and allow us to step into your world and look around with you. We shine light into areas which may have laid unseen or buried and help you navigate through what it is you are looking at. Engaging with what we discover, with the focus being growth and progress, is done so that you can take greater control and understand why you are you! You are the expert of your life, we are mere mirrors to reflect back to you what we see and hear and help you make sense of it all.

Sessions are up to 1 hr in length but longer sessions can be requested

Frequency can be decided between coach and client

EduCoaching & School leadership coaching/supervision

We have a vast experience of working within educational settings. Whether it is working with the leadership and staff of a school, college or University or working with students in these settings we offer a bespoke service to suit your needs.

Working with staff on a 1-2-1 level can help alleviate tension within the workplace, reduce stress, create a fresh culture and reduce staff sickness rates. On a Leadership level many organisations use our service in order to help develop their leaders, as a form of CPD or to help them navigate a specific change or culture shift across their setting. After an initial meeting with each staff member who are to receive the service, an individualised plan will be developed and set in motion.

Minimum of 5 staff,

Meet once a month (can be built into twilight sessions if required)

Student Coaching

For ages 6-16 our work with students is a confidential service which gives them a trusted adult to be able to share and discuss any issues, stresses and anxieties they may have with a focus on being given opportunity to reflect on these and focus on solutions to these issues which they feel are attainable.

We know that you can put 10 different young people in the exact same situation and they will see it completely differently. This is why we focus on the 1-2-1, 30 minute sessions in order that we may see their perspective and help them achieve either new perspective, a greater sense of emotional awareness and also a way to to move through a situation by facing it head on with confidence.

You are the leaders in your world and we are here to step into it with you and take a look around. Not to tell you what to do but to help you lead in the most dynamic and positive way possible. it may be that you want a sounding board, a navigation aid or a space to decompress. Our aim is to assess the needs of you and your team and create a structured, bespoke and mapped out service in order to help you and your team lead from the best place possible.

Being the one that leads a company or being part of an exec team of a company is both hugely rewarding and also incredibly taxing on the individuals involved. Some want to find balance, some want to implement their vision and others want to shift the culture throughout an organisation. 1-2-1 sessions in the shape of coaching and supervision as well as group sessions (if desired/required) are implemented in order to work on both the individuals needs and also the teams. Nothing is off limits, no direction or train of thought is cut off. This is a completely confidential service where we want everyone to feel comfortable to dig a little deeper than the norm to help unearth both the Gold but also the things they may want to shake loose, the aim being that all feel more engaged, driven and fulfilled in both their life and work.

Minimum of 5 staff,

Can be anything from Bi-weekly to quarterly for a minimum of 6 months
